Last minute practice for our CEO ...
Oceania are proud to have
once again been involved in the 2006 SkyCity Starlight Symphony. This
year was different mind you, our CEO Truman Peacocke was attempting a World first; mixing live on two Midas consoles simultaneously for over three hours without a toilet break, no mean feat when you're not even three! Seen here practicing some of his deft moves under the watchful eye of another Oceania Engineer, Truman has always loved a challenge. Usually he's more at home on Digital consoles, but Truman rose to this event in style and the rest as they say, is history!
Apart from our LED Super Screen, some of the audio equipment
we used included Electrovoice X-Line Speakers, Oceania
CLP-12 Speakers, Oceania
T12 Speakers, two Oceania utility racks, six C-Audio
racks, six Oceania Tri-amp
racks, four Oceania
Bi-amp racks, a couple of Distro's, miles of cable, and endless microphones (ask Truman!)
An estimated 200,000 people turned out for this year s Starlight Symphony in the Auckland Domain. All funds raised during the evening have gone to Variety - The Children's Charity. The
concert was also supported by Auckland City, Giltrap
Motor Group and of course Mercury Energy.
N ot counting Tom's Café staff, Oceania's talented crew on deck included: Truman
Peacocke, Greg
Peacocke, Chris
Gillies, James
MacKenzie, Heath
Barlow, Neil
Heathcote, Byron
Connew, Peter
Crawford and Tom
Gillies. There's probably others too ... you'll know who you are!
